Calling thread every 5 mins.

Hi
Iam new to threading concepts.
Can anyone tell how to create a thread and invoke it for every 5mins.

A threaded way, say if you want to do anything more complex is to
implement the Runnable interface and then start a Thread, ie:

public class TestThreadWrites implements Runnable {

public void run() {
        runningFlag = true;
        while(runningFlag) {

            try {
                Thread.sleep(5 * 60 *1000);
            } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            }

        }

    }

}

...
...
...
Runnable runnable = new TestThreadWrites(logger);
Thread thread = new Thread(runnable);
thread.start();
