Hi All,
I have just downloaded the netbeans 5.5 ide and the jdk-1_5_0-doc.zip
documentation for java and want to get it to work as searchable help
when you press shift + f1 but it says that there is no searchable
indices and to try adding it to the library manager or the platform
manager.
I have tried adding both the zip file and the extracted zip file doc
folder to the library manager, java platform manager and netbean
platform manager under the javadoc tab.
I can't seem to get the searchable help to work can someone please
point me in the right direction.
Cheers

Hi All,
Just a bit of extra info.
I downloaded the documentation that I am trying to use in netbeans
from
https://sdlc2e.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=6750F9E20E4B4B783204360

I found the following in the netbeans help and followed it but it is
not working for me.
Adding the JDK Javadoc to the IDE
See Also
1. Choose Tools > Java Platform Manager from the main window.
2. Select the platform to which you want to add Javadoc in the left
panel of the dialog box.
3. In the Javadoc tab, click Add ZIP/Folder and specify the location
of the Javadoc files.
4. Click Close.
If anyone can point me in the right direction then it would be greatly
appreciated.
