Eclipse Not Recognizing CDT Plugin

Thread view:
scottdewald@gmail.com - 04 Oct 2006 17:30 GMT
I downloaded the version of Eclipse 3.2.1 and CDT 3.1.0 plugins for
AIX. I installed Eclipse on AIX by simply extracting the zipped file. I
then unzipped the CDT plugin into the eclipse directory. When I open
Eclipse, I do not see the CDT perspective.

This approach works on Windows (simply extracting plugins into plugin
directory). Do I have to do something special on AIX for Eclipse to
recognize plugins?

You might get better luck asking an Eclipse newsgroup:

Are you sure you got unzipped correct ?

Have you tried to let Eclipse download and install
CDT itself ? (I assume that is supported on AIX as well)
