Eclipse : change the eclipse user-agent for updates

Thread view:
Headphones - 29 Sep 2006 08:09 GMT
Hello,

I program with eclipse and i wish to do callisto updates, but
connecting to the internet from my enterprise is restricted to some
user-agent.

I tried to add "-Dhttp.agent=TEST_Agent" in eclipse.ini file, but as a
result, the Http request contains : "User-Agent: TEST_Agent
Java/1.5.0_06"

How can i remove the Java/1.5.0_06 ?

Thanks,

Bn

You may get an answer from this newsgroup but it would make better sense
to ask in the correct newsgroup. Let me think.... how about the Eclipse
NNTP server at news.eclipse.org in newsgroup eclipse.newcomer

You will need a free account to post to that server and you can get that
here:
