Yes, you mentioned that 2 hours ago.

Try asking in an XML newsgroup.

It's the data which describes how "Polically Correct" (PC) some person or
entity is.  For instance one person might be PC with respect to issues of race
and religion, but not PC with respect to issues of gender or age.

Unfortunately, the term (like so many in computing) is overloaded -- in other
contexts PCDATA is the data describing the configuration of a PC: what kind of
processor it has, how much RAM, clock speed, and so on.  Needless to say, it is
not a good idea to confuse the two.

chris , i could not get you......confused now.

you told,

PCDATA = politically correct DATA

and also you told  PCDATA = data related to  PC configuration  like
RAM, speed etc

how does it related to  XML file !! ?

please explain  what you meant

thanks

It was a joke (as indicated by the smiley).

(And also was intended as a gentle reminder of what Gordon had already said --
this question is about XML and is /totally/ off-topic for this newsgroup.  Ask
an irrelevant question and you'll get an irrelevant answer.)

BTW, you seem to have fallen into the habit of posting whatever simple
questions occur to you here.  There's nothing wrong with asking questions
(provided they are on-topic), and you are still getting answers to them, but I
suspect that you are starting to wear out people's patience by overdoing it.
If you do (and you have exhausted mine) then people will stop being helpful --
even if you come up against a problem that /isn't/ trivially simple.   You
would be well advised to make more use of other resources (your teachers
perhaps ?), and learn to use Google or some other seach engine.  For example
typing:
   what is PCDATA
into Google would have produced several good explanations (try it, and you'll
see what I mean).

Parsed character data.

I'm fed up with Life 1.0. I never liked it much and now it's getting
me down. I think I'll upgrade to MSLife 97 -- you know, the one that
comes in a flash new box and within weeks you're crawling with bugs.
