Bootable java application

Thread view:

Does any one know how to make a bootable cd that automatically loads an
java application on startup?

I wrote a java program that do monte carlo simulations (going to use to
train a neural network). Unfortunatelly it would take weeks to run on
my own machine so I intend to borrow a few during nights. But to avoid
doing a lot of setup I would like to put my program on a cd and make it
bootable. I do need network support, but no gui.

I could try to remaster knoppix, but that seems hard and very time
consuming. Anyone how knows an easier way?

Thanks in advance

Why bootable? For doing what you want it should be enough to burn your
application and a VM (JRE) onto a CD and run from the CD - manually
started or via some autostart mechanism.

You boot the normal OS and then you run the application. A JRE runs
without the need to install it.

That doesn't look to complicated for me:
