Collection class has a sort()  method ..

what kind of sorting it does ?

Selection sort ? Merge sort ?  Quick sort ?  or   which algorithm ?

It's in the API docs.  Just look up the sort method of the  
java.util.Collections class.

Yes, but it's a bit more that a one word answer so I didn't bother to  
reproduce it here - it's in the documentation (right here:
