Java and COM interaction

Thread view:
amir.companieh@gmail.com - 02 Aug 2006 18:19 GMT
Hello
I have some COM objects that I'd like to access through a Java based
app, does anyone know what time of limitations I'm going to run into?
(can java create an instance of a COM object? can it do so remotely?
does it support events?  does it support VARIANTS?)
Thanks
AC

You need a Java COM bridge. I used JACOB:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jacob-project/, and that worked fine for me.
