Newbie question: How to install J2ME on GNU/Linux?

Thread view:

Hi Javaheads,

I'd like to start writing apps for mobile phones, and J2ME seems the
logical choice.
I've downloaded the reference implementations of CLDC and MIDP, but
can't find
any documentation on how to install and use them on GNU/Linux. Some
pointers
please?

Regards,
Ralph

There are probably several approaches that will work. The first one that
comes to me is to install Eclipse on your GNU/Linux box, then install the
EclipseME plugin within Eclipse. That should give you a suitable development
environment.
