Jasper Vs IText

Thread view:
himanshu.garg@gmail.com - 15 Jun 2006 08:02 GMT
Hello,

We have a data base(Oracle XE) backed  web application(Apache
Tomcat JSP) through which we would like to generate reports containing
simple tables with page headers table headers footers, text etc. The
reports should be generated in an editable format such as xls, doc, csv
etc.

I am unable to compare which of IText or Jasper Reports will be
powerful, easy to use, more documented etc.

    Kindly help.

Thank You,
Himanshu

I'm sorry I can't help with the comparison but I think you will find
Jasper Reports far easier if you use iReport
<http://ireport.sourceforge.net/> as a front end.
