Hi All!
can somebody give me advice how to set permissions for tomcat the best
way?
the owner for my tomcat directory is tomcat.tomcat .
now I'm going to create a few virtual host . do I need to create a new
linux user for each new virtual host? and set owner of
tomcat/webapps/app1 to user1.user1 , for example?

I'm going to use postgresql as db. do I need to create a new db for
each virtual host as postgres and then just give rights to user1 for
update/delete/etc ?

thanks!

I  would run Apache2 in front of Tomcat to do all of the security stuff
and manage the virtual hosts.

A good newsgroup for this info would be: alt.apache.configuration
They are very responsive to questions of this nature.

Thanks in Advance...
