SCJP Attempts

Thread view:

Hi,

I'm studying for the SCJP 1.4 exam.  I was wondering how many attempts
it took you to pass.  I've gone through a certification study guide and
I'm working with a test simulator now.  I was just wondering if passing
the exam on the first try was an unreasonable expectation.

Thanks.

I haven't taken the exam, but a colleague at work here did, and he
passed it on the first try.

It is very straightforward, and has a low pass mark.
It only tests language (+ a tiny bit of API).
1.5 might be another matter though if it *really* tests understanding of
Generics.
