Time depended java program

Thread view:

folks
I have 3 java  files

1) Parser ( parse xml files)
2) converter ( converts xml into lucene docs)
3) Searcher ( searches lucene docs)

I want to run this three programs in sequential order after every 2
minutes on my laptop( of course when i switched it on)

Is there any way to do this??

thanks

I would say that this is in no way a java question, but a general "how
do I run programs at a given (scheduled) time in my operation system?"
question.

In an UNIX environment you might use cron to to that... as for Windows:
AFAIK there's a "run scheduled tasks" utility (whatever it is called)
which might do what you want.

you can have a master program that uses a timer to trigger them.  Use
multiple threads if you want the execution to potentially overlap.
