Netbeans + web services

Thread view:
LukaszP - 10 Apr 2006 08:50 GMT
Hi
I'm using netbeans 5 and a tomcat 5 server (but other than the default one)
to develop my j2ee aplication. Now, I'd like to use Axis. I've done
everything from the installation guide, and the happy axis page is running
correctly (no errors).
The problem is that when I try to add a web service to my project, I get a
message : "The current target server for this project does not support
jaxrpc, so ...".
I don't know what else should I do. I tried to add some libraries to the
project but the error seems to lay elsewhere.
Anyone knows what to do ?

Yes, join the NB users mailing list.  Also, check the archives at
http://www.netbeans.org.

No and there are currently no plans for supporting Axis. But try
http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/geertjan/?anchor=deploying_web_services_to_tomcat.
(You will need to develop ws against SJS app server or JBoss to be able
to create it via wizard and switch to Tomcat after the ws creation.)

  Or: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/50/jaxws20.html
