Creating a Playback utility

Thread view:
leslie_tighe@yahoo.com - 29 Mar 2006 17:23 GMT
Hello,

I need to create a test playback utility where I can:
- Capture the steps that a user takes on a screen such as filling in a
field, pushing a button
- Plays them back
- Can be made to work with GUI, Web app, or terminal.

Any suggestions on where  I can find information to get started on
this? I realize the that approach may be different for each type of
enviornment.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A quick answer if I understand you question. That is, you record a
tutorial for some screen process to be viewed later. Maybe invoked ala
Help menus. I would look at a free product called Wink.
