Hi , Just a quick question. anybody have any idea about how much RAM is required for JVM?? Thanks n Regards, Prasad. JVM 1.5 needs about 5MB by itself in default configuration. In this case, the memory allocation pool has an initialisation size of 2MB (-Xms). I recently failed to install java on a newer machine with (don't ask why) 64 MB or RAM. My guess would be 128 MB.
