listener problem in netbeans

Hi i am a beginner
I have downloaded netbeans 4.1 and am able to create simple hello world
application in for my sony erricson p900 mobile phone.
but im facing a problem for unable understand how to have  a command
button on the form or screen
im able to create a sample screen with few controls but done know how
to make it event oriented
for example there is a textfield and a button on the form when i click
on the button the content in the textfield should be displayed on the
another form label control
i understand that this could be done with listners but unable to
impliment it.

i would be happy if any one be able to provide me with the solution
thanks
