Monstastic: the free website monitoring service that doesn't suck

Thread view:

We are happy to announce this free website monitoring service:

Montastic will alert you by email if your website goes down, so you
know about it before your customers call you.

It is built with Ajax and Ruby on Rails. Check it out, it is really
useful and it is the sexiest monitoring service available :)

I'm a bit puzzled.  You asked for a website, but not an url or a
protocol.  Just what is it that you monitor? that
website.com/index.html is being served?

You ask for a "little name".  What do you mean by that?

1. userid
2. first name
3. name of the website
4. name to address the email

You should also warn people to use an email account hosted by a
different server from the HTTP service. Otherwise there is a good
chance you won't get the email.
