JRE?  JDK? From Sun? Which version specifically?
If you don't know the answers please post the link from where you
installed it.

Hi,

There are some known issues with Access Bridge 1.2 installer and
JRE/JDK 5.0.
Some have suggested to install it manually instead.
Some have suggested to use a newer version of the access bridge.

Try with Access Bridge 2.0 Beta:

Thanks!
I must informe you that i think i solved the problem. I have installed
java 2 runtime enviroment standard edition v1.1.3.1_16 and java 2 sdk
standard edition v1.3.1_16 and access bridge v1.2 installed just fine.
I hope that it works as well.
Thank you, you have been very helpfull and kind!  (i have got the idea
to install sdk when you told me to check for versions, i told to my
self maybe if i install software developer kit it will do, and it did)
kind regards,

Read the docs on your bridge. Perhaps it supports only some particular
version of Java.
