EN-556b C++ Software Engineer - Staff - Pasadena, CA

A leading ISP needs a C++ programmer to be responsible for designing,
developing and maintaining software architectures for their e-mail
system. The team focuses on server-side development using primarily C
and C++ in a UNIX environment.

Long-term responsibilities include ensuring continuing scalability to
meet growth forecasts and implementation of systems to support any new
products or services.

Requirements:

o. BS or MS degree in Computer Science (Required)
o. 5+ years designing and coding moderately complex system-level
software for Unix using C, C++, and shell scripts (server side
development) (Required)
o. Experience with network / Internet programming (Required)
o. Knowledge of mail systems (sendmail, qmail, postfix, qpopper) a plus
o. Knowledge of prevailing protocol standards for providing email
(SMTP, POP3, IMAP) and news (NNTP) a plus
o. Experience with directory services (LDAP) a plus
o. Experience working with Java, SOAP, and PERL script a plus

Notes:

o. US citizens or greencard holds only

o. Some travel between Atlanta and Pasadena may be necessary.
