How to know if browser supports Applet using java program

Hi

Is there any way that I can write Java program to know if the browser
is supported applet before it got loaded.

you can invoke some test applet that just checks the version.

You can also do some guessing in JavaScript.

Roedy may have been referring to JavaScript's javaEnabled method, which
often works.
