How does 'jps' identify all the JVMs on the current host?

Thread view:

Hi,

What maechanism does jps use to find JVM's running on the local host?

Is the source to jps available?

Thanks,
John

The fact that they don't support JPS for Win98/WinME hints it is very
platform specific code.  Poke around in the C++ Windows library for a
way to get a list of applications/tasks running.
