log4j NT event viewer problem

Thread view:
JayCKY@gmail.com - 15 Nov 2005 10:49 GMT
Dear All,

I want to use log4j to enter log into NT event viewer. I have success
to do it. But I want to ask can I set the category of the event
manually? Now, the event category is generated by the log4j API what is
either 10001, 20001, 30001, 40001, 50001, can I set it manually such as
"device" or "host" etc.
Or else, if this API cannot do it, is there any other API can do so
what is append log into NT event viewer.
Thank you very much!!^^

If by "NT event viewer" you mean windows NT version 4, it is not
supported anymore, change to windows XP or XP pro.
