iPlanet: Repeating requests

We have been seeing repeating "GET" requests (aprox. every 5 minutes)
in the server log for a URL that our application does not generate. Our
application does serve a form page, with a "POST" action, that has the
same parameters in the "GET" request in the logs. The portion of the
application requires the user have session and be validated.

Any ideas on how/why this could be happening?

can you track who it is coming from? You must expect a fair number of
hackers probing your system just for the heck of it with automated
tools.
