How do you acess a sql database from with your class?

Hello,

Thank you for your help last time :)

How do you acess a sql database from within your class? a lesson or
guide would be very helpful or if its simple enough to do a few lines
of code. I know acessing a databas was a nightmare under c++ but i
suspect it'l be easier in java.
