JVM for Pocket PC

Thread view:

I can't read Java Applets in my Pocket PC Internet Explorer. Is there some
Virtual Machine for this system?

Maybe. If it is a relatively late model PDA with sufficient memory and
processor power, it may be possible to find a JVM that runs on it. But a lot
of PDAs cannot run any of the better JVMs. You'll need to search around for
documentation about your particular PDA to see if any JVMs are available for
it.

I'm not aware of any reliable list of Pocket PCs that support Java; the
frequence discontinuing of older models and the emergence of new models
makes that a very dynamic list. Your best bet is to look at the specs for
your particular model of Pocket PC, which should be available at the
manufacturer's website, to see if that model supports Java. I have a Palm
Tungsten E and the Palm website identifies it as supporting Java, although
you have to dig a bit to find the detailed specs.

Thank you for your message. Yes, I have to dig a lot more. I have found a
browser who said that could read Java Applets "NetFront". I have downloaded
it to my PDA runned the aplication and nothing.
Thak you again,

PS: Sory for my English

Look for the J9 vm from IBM in the Websphere distribution.
