getting streaming quotes

I am a beginner to using the net for online quotes watching in the stock market;

I have windows XP and I have downloaded Java 2V1.4.2._06 and Microsft VSM
I AM NOT ABLE TO SEE THE STREAMING QUOTES; HOW DO ENABLE THE STREAAMING APPLETS; i JUST SEE A GRAY SCREEN WITH THE JAVA SYMBOL; CAN SOMEBODY GUIDE ME;

What is the URL of the applet you are tring to see?

1st up. This problem is pretty easy fixed if you are willing to
use a browser like Netscape, or Mozilla, or Firefox, or Opera.

Is that installed on the PC already?

..and select the 'Install Netscape'.

The 'Install' file is about 288Kb. Download it and run it.

After the licence agreement, it asks 'Setup Type', select
'Full', in order to install the Java enabled version and
proceed with the install.
