popup menus / comboboxes

Thread view:

Hi,
I am wondering, how popup stuff can be drawn.
Because it exceeds the window's borders.
Therefore I guess that each popup menu is a new window
without decorations. Is that right ?
How do I recognize that the window has to be closed ?

Best wishes
Thorsten

If you use javax.swing.JPopupMenu it shouldn't need to be your concern
at all, it will work just as you would expect a popup menu to work...
