Hi there,
I have to write a project in Java (a exam of my university). I am
absolutely free about the subject: I can write complex software like an
OS or a small crap utility.
The standard is to write a piece of software to manage a DB. That's what
most of my classmates do.
However I would like to develop something else. But I can't find some
good ideas.
Where I can find some good ideas regarding the subject?

This one is always fun: Create your own assembly-like language and
implement the assembler/virtual machine for that language :-)
