How to add size grip (grippie) to window in swing?

Thread view:

Hi all!

Does anyone have an idea how to show in swing on JFrame or JDialog
windows size grip?
I'm thinking about such grater in right down corner of resizable
window, which is common in Windows operating systems. I did usability
test with users on one of my swing GUI's and discovered that no one of
participants
resizes window although it's resizable and work with resized window in
that moment would be easier.
That's why I need to indicate to the users that the window is
resizable by setting size grip on the window corner (not only by mouse
cursor change).

Thank you in advance

Aren't those usually part of the status bar? You could always make your
own.
