eclipse

Thread view:

I installed Eclipse3.2 on Suse10.0 where I did fine with java,
javac, ... commands from java -1.4.2.
The installation of eclipse caused no problems, but when I try
running  >>New Project >>Java Project >>Next the whole system freezes.
Or should I make a 'link' or something else between eclipse and java?
How?  Or is it something else? Another java version?
Thanks,

Try to add your JRE to the Eclipse's list of installed JRE:
Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs

- Fix that sticky '?' key.
- Ask eclipse questions on an eclipse forum
- Use an IDE that does not freeze.

I would be very, very surprised if your system froze when you did anything in
Eclipse on a Linux platform. Please be more specific about exactly what is
freezing.

If X, your keyboard and mouse are really frozen then you have much bigger issues
than Eclipse. Most likely a broken graphics card driver causing the X server to
hang and taking all the HIDs with it.
