Can XP/Vista run apple.awt.brushmetallook? If not, why not.

YHou will probably find
a) it is illegal
b) XP/Vista users want their applications to look
XP/Vista PLAF.

Well instead of an 'official' Apple 'PLAF' is there a cool looking LAF
that has the brushed metal effect?

Like that disgusting finish on the quicktime player?
I like that so much that I use JMStudio (Java based,
using AWT) to play Mov's. ..but I dunno',

Have you looked at the PLAF's offered by JGoodies?
Have you tried searching on 'java plaf'?

Many of the sites that offer PLAFs also have screenshots
and/or web-start launchable (sandboxed) demos.

Thank you for the ideas. I looked at JGoodies and they have some
interesting stuff there but not really what I'm after
(futuristic/minimalisitic metallic look). I did google 'java plaf' and
the only thing I saw of interest on the first 3 pages was 'winlaf 0.5'.
In any event I will just mess with my own JComponents to get the
desired effect.

Thanks.
