PaintComponent Method

Hello,
can any one tell me when paintComponent(Graphics gc){} method will be
called???
it's needed that i have to extends JPanel.
in my prog m extending theJApplet class.
can paintComponent(Graphics gc){} will called if m extending the
JApplet..

plz tell me..
waiting 4 yr reply.

for good info on how painting works, in both AWT and Swing. This will
provide the specific answer to your question as well as a good overall
understanding of how Swing painting in general works.

You'll also find that your questions are easier to understand if you use
complete words rather than "plz" and "yr" and other such gibberish.
