hi,

i am trying to understand the JSpinner class.

I need to know if the user has incremented or decremented the value
displayed.

how can this be done?

1) ChangeListener
2) set your own UI, add actionListener to createNext/PreviousButton()

agree

probably it is better just to save last value and compare with new one.
