Selecting a Tab of JTabbedPane

Thread view:
hellbent4u@gmail.com - 13 Apr 2006 22:42 GMT
Hi all,

I am required to select a tab in JTabbedPane as event-handling of a
node of JTree. Now the selected tab should display the old instances
plus a new instance of JInternalFrame corresponding to the node that
was clicked.
I am able to select by setSelectedIndex(int) as a result of which it
displays the tab along with it's existing components. I want an
additional component as well.

Does anyone have an idea, how to go about it?

Regards,
Ankur

Each pane of a JTabbedPane displays one and only one component.
If you want to see several items, the pane's component must be a container
of some type, and that container would contain all of the items
you want to see.

Hey Fred,

Do you mind if I have a correspondence with you over the mail?
I can send you a snapshot of the JTabbedPane and explain thing more
properly..

Regards,
Ankur
