JFrame resizing

Thread view:
steve_marjoribanks@hotmail.com - 08 Mar 2006 15:38 GMT
If I have a JFrame which can be resized by the user, how can I make it
so that it will keep its aspect ratio as it is resized? I think I can
figure out how to check that the JFrame has the correct aspect ratio
just *after* it has been resized but is there a way of making sure it
keeps the aspect ratio *as* it is resized?

Many thanks

Steve

I don't think so.  So you've got a couple of options.  Allow the user to
select the size from a menu (or some other component), resize the window
after he's done resizing it (cludgy) or not worry about it and if the
user messes with the window he's going to miss something.
