Using Netbeans

how can i define public variables using netbeans bcoz it doesn't allow to
add variable at the portion of code where we initialize all the variables.
actually i want to create nodes for JTree. and i want to a.s them
dynamically so i need those variables in one function. so i want to define
them public.

In the variables' Properties section, select the Code tab and use the
Variable Modifiers dialog.
