Vertical JTabbed Panes

Does anyone know how to make the tabs of a JTabbedPane appear vertically? I
can get them onto the side by sett the tab placement to LEFT, but they are
still appearing horizontally.

do you like to get the text appear vertically but have tabs still on
top of the contents of the tab?
