how to disable key assignments

Hi,
I got a TabbedPanel which uses the default key assignments.
I like to disable them, or change some of them but how to do?
I got a look to mneomics, but seemed to be wrong.
google wasn't also able to gave me hints, so I am on
hope to find somebody here.

Dear John,
many thanks for your reply, it was exactly the same problem which you
now solved two times for different people ! Now it could be better to
find using google :-)

It is working now like it has to work,
crtl-up didn't change the focus anymore ! Yippeeh!

Google is always your friend, but you would not have found that message
had you searched.  If you check the times, you will see that it was posted
*after* your message.
