math formula

hello guys

i have to put a formula in an if statement, which is:

probability p = 1 - n /???????
/ 1 - x .
\/
i know the sqrt in Math class but here i m dealing with n, which 1-25.

please suggest a way to solve this.

So you didn't find your math book, the way to the library, or the
search button in your browser and you decided to post to a completely
unrelated newsgroup? Just tell us where you study, so we can mail the
