Lately, I have to input Send to Groups(s), Subject, original
message in Your message area and even > marks at line heads
manually. [Reply] link is broken at least on Japanese locale
i.e. hl=ja version of the pages.
But I could see only one thread on the message list, not multiple
thrashed threads as you mention. On the english version
of the pages, is the thread thrashed?
And, what could be the solution for it?
I use Mozilla 1.7.5 and sometimes Firefox 1.0 on Linux.

I am not really sure what you mean by "thrashed". Google groups has made
some major changes lately, but it still looks reasonable to me.

I would not recommend reading newsgroups from a web site unless it was the
only choice. Instead, I would recommend an NNTP-based newsreader. For
that, you need access to an NNTP server that has the newsgroups you want
to read. In the U.S., most ISPs provide access to an NNTP server for the
Usenet groups.
If you have access to an NNTP server, you will need a newsreader program.
Given that you are using Firefox, you will probably be very comfortable
with Thunderbird. There are also more powerful newsreaders available - I
use one called XanaNews.
