Cannot set "layout" property java.lang.illegalArgumentException

Thread view:

Hi,

I meet some problem in GUI design. I am using JBuilderX. When I switch
from source to design, it always pops up error message " Cannot set
"layout" property for this -- java.lang.illegalArgumentException:
object is not an instance of declaring class. I don't know if it will
have effect on my program.

Could anyone give me some idea why this error happening? Thanks in
advance

You wonder whether the fact that you program will not compile will have an
effect on your program?

Thanks for your reply. :)

I found I got this error message when I add a JScrollPane in the part
area of a panel directly. I use JBuilder to add it. :( Now, I don't
need to use JScrollpane. I will study this later. Thanks. :)
