Displaying XML-Code in a UI

Thread view:
Bernhard Bauer - 11 Jun 2004 13:12 GMT
Hi NG,

I am looking for an API enabling me to display XML-Files in a Java-GUI.
Using JFormattedTextField doesn't really fulfill all my needs, so I would be
happy with any suggestions/input as to what could be used for that purpose.

It would be useful if such a tool could be integrated into the progarm
directly (eg. in a JPanel...)

Regards

Bernhard

He apparently deals* with 'SwiXML' which
may have something to do with that.

* His exact connection is not entirely
clear to me though, his sig. is not very
informative (shrugs).

Nah :-) Matching surnames are purely incidental...
But I already did have a look at that piece of software, but it is not what
I was looking for.
At least as far as I gathered from the sparse examples and other info on the
swiXML site.
Maybe I have not put it straightforward enough:
I am looking for an API enabling me to display XML code as such (formatted
with tag/syntax-highlighting) within an existing Java application, eg.
within a JFrame/JPanel or anything the like...

nor is his site IMHO.

thanks though!

Aha!  That makes it much clearer for me,
though I do not have a definitive answer
for you.  Perhaps some other person has..
