i am trying to use the JFileChooser for a save dialog box and i was
wondering if there is anyway to remove that annoying "File Name" field that
isn't doing anything but telling you the path name of any file you click on
in the directory...does anyone know a way around this or a better way to
make a save dialog box? thanks

Annoying "File Name" field?  You mean the one where the user is supposed to
type the name they want to give the saved file?  How are they supposed to name
the file if they don't want to save to an existing name?
