Drag and drop graphics

Thread view:

Hi,

I am trying to implement a drag&drop kind of scheme so that instead of just
clicking on a button, the user can drag the button into a specified area.
Does anyone know how to do this or which java classes can be used for this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Ed

Yep.

...what?  Oh..
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/awt/dnd/package-summary.html

I have done an AWT app long ago that implemented
D'n'D of a custom component, but I would have
to dig the source out - you could probably
Google free java souce drag drop quicker..

Oh, and I am sure there is a Sun tutorial on
D'n'D as well..

HTH
