Outlookstyle Side Bar

Thread view:
Patrick Gwiasda - 12 Dec 2003 06:59 GMT
Hallo,

I search for an application an component like the Outlook bar.
I found that there was an article inside the JDJ in 1998.

http://sys-con.com/magazine/?issueid=329&src=false

The Component is exactly that I need.
Unfortunately the link to the Source Archive
http://photos.sys-con.com/story/res/36020/JOutlookBarSourceCode.zip
is broken.

Could anyone send me the correct link or the archive ?

thanks

Ouch!  Unfortunately it is going to be extremel difficult
to find something that old with a very similar name to
a currently available (expensive) product.    :-(

That is actually a good question.

All the outlook bar is is a tool bar with large icon buttons and text,
laid out vertically.

Which piece of functionalty are you in need of?

Hi,

Check in the java developer 's journal code archive Volume 3 - Issue 8,
Cluade Duguay has done a JOutlookBar component.
http://www.sys-con.com/java/source2.cfm?volume=03&issue=08

[snip]

The link to the zip file containing the compilable
classes and source files seems to be broken. Does
anyone know of a working link?

Thanks,
Rob

On the page specified, right above the link to the JOutlookBar article, is a
link to download the source from the entire issue.  The source you're looking
for is included in that .zip file.
