I am trying to compile a java program locally, using the NetBeans
software.
I am getting a series of errors, in the format "package
Oracle.(something) does not exist".
I suspect it has something to do with the CLASSPATH, but being new to
JAVA, I have a number of questions around that.
1) How do I check my CLASSPATH using the NetBeans software?
2) How do I know what to add to the CLASSPATH so that these packages
are found?
3) And, is the CLASSPATH, in fact, the root of my problem?
Can anyone point me in the right direction? THANKS.

You have to mount the classes12.zip from Oracle. To do so, go to the
filesystem-tab and mount the zip's as you mount the jar-files.
Hope that helps.

Hi Dennis!
I had experienced the same problem 'package does not exist' and here's
what I did to fix it.
1. On the file menu select Mount File System
2. Select "Archive files" then click on Next.
3. Specify the Path as to where your packages/archives exist.
That's it!
