Sounds interesting, but your server is either down or unreachable.

Probably due to the fact that newsmaestro is a noted malware provider and
noted spammer.  Note the misspellings of "Java".  When he gets rolling on one
of his rants it's pretty schizophrenic.

You are just a cunning pervert, twisting, lying and fabricating.

The link above was intensionally distorted.

The real link is

All lies and fabrications by one of the most mouth foaming and blood
boiling
idiots, intolerant as it gets, who behaves like he owns this group and
behaves like a high priest, constantly insulting people, who came to
get some
answer on their question.

All lies and nothing but lies.
NewsMaestro is written in Java. There isn't even a shade of what you
claim.

Why do you have to always lie and pervert?

One more time, the real link is:

http://javagoldmine.by.ru

[quoted text clipped - 4 lines]

A coward is what you are.
And you are also a pathological liar, and I can prove that.
Not only you lie, but you fabricate things, knowing full well
that what you are saying is nothing but lies.

And you are also a megalomaniac, telling everybody how to walk and
talk,
and I can prove that. You think what you are saing is a word of God,
while you are nothing more than a miserable scum, who never knew the
real joy in life, and that is exactly why you are so frustracted,
so dictatorial, so nazi like. And I can prove that easily.

And you are also a fabricator of bullshit, and I can prove that.

And you are also a mouth foaming, blood boiling idiot,
and I can prove that.

You see the difference?
I can prove what I say and I stand by what I say,
and you, blood boiling idiot, poke you dirty nose
into affairs of others and fabricate any kind of bullshit
that comes to your empty cockpit,
that "dimly lit kerosine lamp between your ears".

And that IS the bottom line, jack.

And I know why you are going nuts at this very moment.
It is because you have nothing more to say compared to what
you have already said, in terms of your expertise on Java.
Now you can not bullshit those kids and pretend to be the
main priest around here. Because they can simply see all your
wisdom in the most organized manner by going to Java Goldmine site.
And they can see it without your poisonous, mouth foaming crap.
They can see the very essense of your technical background,
exactly on the issue.

Simple, ain't it?

If I may....I should note that the mainpage referenced by
this URL contains absolutely nothing that even hints at
Javascript, and apart from a very obscure possibility of
some idiotic IE bug that I'm not aware of (I use Firefox
and in this test I used 'wget'), wouldn't possibly damage
one's PC.  Certainly I see nothing obviously exploitative
from a 'wget http://javagoldmine.by.ru/'; one would expect
reams of glop from a truly dangerous website.  I'd frankly
have to find one.

(I do see some minor issues, mostly text outside of a
paragraph tag and some optimizations that might want a
proper style sheet.  All legal AFAICT, but a little odd-looking.
The only thing htmltidy found was an empty paragraph and
the wrong Doctype (it should be
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
since you're not using a Frameset).

The server is a rather stock-looking Apache; it is setting
a year-long duration cookie.  This looks suspicious from
a tracking standpoint but does not appear damaging from
a system one.

  Set-Cookie: _qnt_visitor_v10=<ipaddress>.??; path=/;
  expires=Fri, 13-May-11 01:18:14 GMT; domain=.javagoldmine.by.ru

As always, caveat browser.

Oh, and as for
http://javagoldfinger.by.ruin.your.pc/
that URL doesn't exist.  I'm not even sure 'pc' is a country...

I'm frankly not sure *where* to set followups at this point, as
this subthread isn't relevant to either databases or Java.  Oh well.

The site is as clean, as it gets, from the standpoint of
any malicious activity, and not only that. Much care was
taken to make sure it looks good on all browsers.

Well, if you go to that extent, that means this site deserves
to be downloaded as a whole. Yep, it is worth it indeed.
Because it is a huge collection of articles, all organized,
categorized and filtered by the best filters you can find.

You won't find so much information in any book on Java.
You can prolly throw away all your Java books because you have
at least ten times more useful information on this site, than
in any book on Java.

But the site is big, about 150 megs, and that is about a half
of the full site, that includes quite a few other significant
topics.

If you can point out exactly where you found problems,
that would help.

Thanks. The site was tested under MS IE, Firefox and Opera.
Overall balance was achieved by generating the HTML code that
make the site look best on all browsers, even though it is not
quite possible. Depending on fonts you have installed and all sorts
of other things, your fonts and colors may not be the same.
But you can modify your style sheet to make it look exactly the way
you want. There are quite a few different styles for various headers,
etc. to give you full control of how it looks. Look at index.html
under each chapter/topic, and look at individual article pages.
That should give you all the styles used.

The best browser to view this site turns out to be MS IE for all
sorts of reasons. In fact, the original version of the site was
generated for MS IE and looks even better than this one. But when
it was tested with Firefox and Opera, it turned out that some
things don't work and results look not as good, as with MS IE.
So, it all had to be changed to achieve a workable balance
between all browsers.

Cookies are set by the server for whatever reason.
This shouldn't be a problem of any kind.
The cookie isn't even needed or used. It is utterly useless as far
as Java Goldmine goes.

Actually, the database subjects are also covered in the full version
of the site.

Well, I did set followups to the groups, this mouth foaming jack
is hanging out on, to make sure people see his real face, which is
nothing but disgrace.

Server is up right now. There has been a problem with it a couple of
days ago. That happens.
