Improve Performence java ms access

Thread view:
Adil - 15 Jan 2007 20:50 GMT
Hi,
i am developing a java application on access database until now i am using
the jdbc odbc bridge but it is to slow.
i think i should use another driver ,  the fastest ones are drive typ 4 but
almost of them use tcp/ip to get access to database, i suggest that i muss
have a server architectur to use this kind of driver.
is there  any driver typ 4 which not use tcp/ip to access to database?
how can improve the performence of my application ?
best regards
adil

If you want better performance, you'll have better results with a different
database. You might want to look at PostgresSQL or MySql.

thanks
i will try derby , derby is much easy to install and i don't need any server
(like in msSql or postgres) to get access to the database.
