Cast from sql.date to util.Calendar

What is the best way to obtain a java.util.Calendar from java.sql.Date?

Here's two ways:

// 1) create Gregorian Calendar

GregorianCalendar cal = new GregorianCalendar();
cal.setTime(mySQLDate);

// 2) retrieve Calendar instance with getInstance()

Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
cal.setTime(mySQLDate);
